About The Dam:
Thistle was bred by Ralph Nodine, Duckpond Kennel. Thistle is a well proportioned, strong Griffonne, and she has a medium dense, medium harsh coat. She is one of the most cooperative bitches we have ever had, and she has been a dog that has had natural traits that are passed onto her pups. She is very affectionate and sweet natured. She has a neat way of expressing herself, she sort of "honks" when she is happy.

This is Thistle's final litter. She has had litters with Griffonpoint Wiley Edge FD, Ch. Tucker's Georgie CD CGC, and Duckpond Princeton,

About The Sire:
Tilly was bred by Pat Humphrey, Prairie Pond Kennel. Tilly is a Griffon of very good bone and substance. He has a bristly, shorter coat with minimal beard and moustache. Even the coat on his legs is harsh. Tilly is the companion and hunting partner of Michelle and Harry Reichelt in Idaho. Tilly is hunted on a variety of bird game, and has also protected his family from Moose.

Tilly has a calm, gentle manner, and a sweet disposition.

This is Tilly's first litter.

This is a combination of some very distinguished and well established hunting lines. First of all, Ralph Nodine's Duckpond Line, which is one of our favourite lines, represented in both the sire (Duckpond Lady) and the dam (Duckpond Joyeux). Attila's breeder, Pat Humphrey (Prairie Pond Kennel) matched Duckpond Lady with another excellent hunting line when he bred to John Picconatto's Aspen Point Line, through Aspen Points Bolt (owned by Bob West). All in all, this breeding has me very excited, both for the pups of litter, as well as thinking how they can contribute to our lines in the future.

This breeding is a light line breeding. It is our intent to strengthen influence of Ralph Nodine's Duckpond line in our bloodlines, and Tilly provides an excellent way to accomplish this. Tilly's Grandmother is Thistle's mother, so this breeding should reflect the strengths of Duckpond Joyeux.

Providing this litter turns out well, we do intend to do a 1/2 brother 1/2 sister cross in 2 years to continue this linebreeding.

I expect that we will see good talent and ability with cooperation and eagerness to please. Structurally, the pups will probably tend to the mid to larger size and should be very athletic, and I hope that we will see more of Tilly's type of coat. This is a complimentary match that I anticipate will produce dogs of good character and versatility, with the desire to hunt for all game over all terrain.

I am expecting that we will all be very pleased.
