About The Dam:
Gina is a substantial female. She is lovely to look at and nice to be around, and she is a joyous and honest hunter.Like her sire, Gina is a calm and easy going Griffon in the house and she can really "turn it on" in the field. Like her dam, Gina has an affinity for water, and can best be described as a "hippo" as she likes to wallow in water. Gina's dam (Bryn) is one of our favourite hunting dogs, she has an independent search, and bold hunting style that has been passed to her offspring.
Gina has produced one litter, a test litter (for coat) with Duckpond Princeton. You can view this litter at the litter page. Pups were excellent quality, with a very enthusiastic temperaments, good structure, water love and early point and retrieve. Interesting enough, after this litter, Gina's coat came in harsher than ever, and much of the undesirable soft coat on her legs has become medium harsh.
About The Sire:
Galahad is a Griffon of solid, athletic structure, excellent outercoat and undercoat. He is an easily handled dog in the field, and an eager companion. He is a young dog, he just turned 4 years old, so is just coming into his own in the field.Galahad has produced one litter. The first was our Griffonpoint Hasta Not Snow, a line breeding on our Foundation Sire, Ch Tuckers Georgie CD.
This should be a consistent litter. Line breeding on Georgie (Galahad X Blizzard) was successful last year, and we are hoping to see the same solid, natural work from these puppies. This will be interesting, as these two Griffons are quite similar in work ethic and style, with Gina having a greater affinity for water. Since it is a line breeding on our foundation sire (Ch Tucker's Georgie CD) I would think the pups will tend to be closer ranging and tending to be heavier boned and larger. We will see!
In any case, the pups should have the solid hunting traits that we have seen passed down through the Reimer line and from Bryn (Gina's Dam).
