Tilly X Beast - March 2001

About The Dam:
Beast is a nicely built, agile, intelligent Griffonne, she has a medium harsh coat with good undercoat and total cover under her belly. She is a very vibrant, enthusiastic bitch who tackles all tasks with a determination and joy. Right from the start, Beast has demonstrated excellent natural traits and we hope that these are passed on. She is very affectionate and sweet natured.

About The Sire:
Tilly was bred by Pat Humphrey, Prairie Pond Kennel. Tilly is a Griffon of very good bone and substance. He has a bristly, shorter coat with minimal beard and moustache. Even the coat on his legs is harsh. Tilly is the companion and hunting partner of Michelle and Harry Reichelt in Idaho. Tilly is hunted on a variety of bird game, and has also protected his family from Moose.

Tilly has a calm, gentle manner, and a sweet disposition.

This is Tilly's second litter.

Once again, this is a combination of some very strong and well established hunting lines. Ralph Nodine's Duckpond Line, John Picconatto's Aspen Point Line, and back a little further in the pedigree is the Jensen's Alders Edge Line.

This breeding is a line breeding, as Tilly's dam and Beast's sire share Duckpond lineage. Mainly this breeding has been done to set up a 1/2 brother 1/2 sister cross in 2 years to strengthen the influence of the Duckpond influence in our kennel.

I expect that we will see good talent and ability with cooperation and eagerness to please. Structurally, Beast and Attila are more similar. This pup will probably tend to the mid to larger size and should be very athletic, I am not sure yet whether she will have Beast's thick undercoat, or have Tilly's tighter type of coat. The one thing that I do I anticipate is that this puppy will have good character and versatility, and like her sire and dam, she will have the desire and talent to hunt for all game over all terrain.

I have high expectations of this puppy.
