About The Dam: Sage is a smaller Griffonne, and she has a thick, wiry, slightly wavy coat. .  She is very cooperative, and has been extraordinarily easy to train.  Sage was broke to wing, shot and fall by two years of age.  She displays waterlove and the ability to focus on double falls, she has an eager natural retrieve and though she is smaller, she has the determination to complete even tough retrieves.  She is a closer ranging Griff, ideal for Ruffed Grouse, but not as effective for Sharptail.    This is Sage's first litter.
	About The Sire: Acer was bred by Erick Van Der Schouw, Kennel V.'T Holtlaad,  Holland.  Acer is a Griffon of more square structure, excellent coat and is an athlete.  He has an excellent nose, and is also a cooperative and willing Griffon.   Acer has a bigger running style and "horse-power".  He is a young dog, will be four years old this coming April so is just coming into his own in the field.  Acer has shown many traits that we appreciate and we believe he will have a positive influence on our bloodlines.    Acer has produced four litters.  All matches have been outcrosses (unrelated bitches)  The first was our foundation bitch, CH Checkered Meg, the second litter was with Ch Prancing Acrobat, Third was with Feu Follet Edge of Eden and fourth was with Griffonpoint Gunners Luck CGC.
This should be a very good litter.  Acer has been bred with both Sage's Grandmother and her mother, each time producing good hunting companions.  Acer brings with him some excellent traits that compliment our line well.  Sage was our first truly home bred Griffon (both Sag'e sire and dam were born here) so this is the first litter of our third Griffonpoint generation. This breeding is an outcross, with neither sire nor dam being related.  I expect that we will see high cooperation and eagerness to please, and we may see some closer and some further ranges in this litter.  Structurally, the pups may tend to be in the smaller and lighter, should be athletic, and I expect we will see good coats and water love.  This is a complimentary match that I hope will produce a high level of talent and ability, combined with athletic structure and intelligence to offer the on-foot hunter a good companion in the field and water.    I am hoping that we will all be very pleased.
