It was a great day, crisp and with a bit of a wind, but mostly sunny for the
entire day.  This was at a release site, where pheasant are released
and where hunters can have access to land without obtaining permission
from landowners.

This was my first time at a release site, and once I was used to
seeing so many other hunters it was easy to settle down into
a nice hunt.... at least till my shotgun jammed, so the rest of the day
I spent taking photos...

above: Sage is ready and raring to go... just say the word!

above: Laurie with Bodo and Sage, keeping them back while
Covey works up some hot scent.

above: Tapas on a soft point... she wasn't quite sure what she was smelling,
but that gave me a chance to get a couple of photos before she moved.

above: Sage and Tapas getting a drink.  Sage is stepping on the ice,
making some water seep through the crack and then
Tapas has come over to get a drink
(Tapas wasn't heavy enough to break the ice).   Crafty Griffons!

above: Sage, Tapas and I
Since my shotgun was out of commission... I Shot Photos but no birds!

above: Laurie  with Covey and Bodo, and a nice rooster.
