Non-Breeding Sales Contract And Agreement
This contract is between Shannon Ford ,hereinafter referred to as SELLER and _________________________________________________________________________, hereinafter referred to as BUYER(s).
Address of Buyer:_______________________________________________________________________________________________
Phone______________________________________________ E-Mail___________________________________________________
Seller agrees to sell Buyer a Griffon born _______________________________________ Litter # _____________Tattoo ___________
Sire:________________________________________________ Dam:___________________________________________________
For the sum of __________________________
1) The Buyer will provide a life-long commitment, comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming and responsible care. This includes keeping this Griffon slim, parasite free and up to date with inoculations, proper nutrition, which consists of a good quality low or grain free diet provided at regular intervals, and fresh water available at all times. The Buyer will
provide a safe environment for the Griffon, keeping Griffon away from herbicide/pesticide treated areas, and will and never allow the Griffon to roam freely without proper fencing or supervision. The Seller strongly recommends that the Griffon have the tattoo maintained in order to facilitate his return if lost or stolen. This Griffon is Microchip Free, and the Seller recommends avoiding the implantation of microchips.
2) The Seller guarantees this Griffon to be of sound health and temperament at the time of this sale. Health and behaviour after the time of delivery are necessarily the responsibility of the buyer. A health record of all shots and dewormings will be provided by the Seller. The Buyer agrees to take this Griffon to a licensed veterinarian of his choice within 48 hours for a physical examination. Should the Griffon be determined to be in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attributable to the Seller, the Griffon may, upon signed written diagnosis from said veterinarian, be returned for refund of the purchase price. The Seller will assume no responsibility if this Griffon is given any questionable chemical/drug and suffers an adverse reaction. This is a breeding of Griffons who themselves have excellent physiology, temperament and hunting traits. If by three years of age, the Griffon develops a genetic problem that affects it’s ability to function, (ie: dog is x-rayed positive for hip dysplasia), the Griffon will be replaced or refunded (breeder’s discretion, shipping the responsibility of the buyer, return/euthanasia not required) or in the case of entropian, the breeder will subsidize surgery. Proper weight, conditioning and Spaying only after 2 years of age may reduce incidence of ACL.
3) The Buyers agree not to use this Griffon for breeding. If the Griffon is used for breeding, the full price for a breeding Griffon will be paid to the breeder (price for breeding Griffon is double that of the purchase price for a non-breeding Griffon).
4) If at any time the Buyer can no longer retain possession of this Griffon, the Seller is to be notified and given first option of resuming
full ownership of Griffon in order for the Seller to locate this Griffon a new home. The Griffon will be returned with all CKC papers and medical records. The Breeder/ Seller reserves the right to approve/prohibit any transfer of this Griffon to a third party. Under no circumstances will this Griffon be bred, sold, leased, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility.
5) The Buyer agrees to contact the Seller immediately if any questions or concerns arise about the Griffon, such as housing, diet, health
or training. The buyer agrees to keep the seller informed of any treatment as it occurs. This provides the Breeder/Seller with an opportunity to follow up on Griffons and gives us important feedback and information on the health or our Griffons for future generations.
6) Registration papers will either be given with the puppy or transferred to the Buyer or upon receipt from the CKC if they are still being processed. It is understood at the time of sale that this is a non-breeding quality Griffon and it is representative of its breed. It is structurally and temperamentally suited as a companion and/or hunting dog. Positive training classes and socialization are recommended for a happy relationship between the dog and family.
The preceding paragraphs contain conditions established to ensure the well being of the dog, but also to uphold and maintain the reputation of quality that Griffonpoint Kennel has established over many years. The Buyer’s agreements will continue for the dog’s life and the Seller will have the right to enforce the agreements. Any costs from legal actions to be paid by the buyer.
