The Egg

A Griffon Mini-Adventure

The pups found a couple of duck eggs that had been stolen from the next by a magpie or crow... and they were all excited.  I didn't want them to eat the egg, so I threw it into the water... well, that didn't do it, as Tiger and Roper went after it.  Tiger was the most determined of the two, he swam out (his first swim ever) and retrieved the egg

The Ant Pile

A Griffon Mini-Adventure

Yes, they all have to learn, but some learn faster than others!

Yay - A new thing, an ant hill!  Well first Roper finds this big ant hill, and moves in to investigate.  Of course this attracts attention and soon all the puppys are investigating the anthill.  They get bit, jump and move away, except Roper, that is, who stays and plays with them, trying to bite the mass of moving ants.

Horses

A Griffon Mini-Adventure

They have met the horses before, we took the pups out to the paddock while the cows and horses were being fed, but this time the horses were in the open, and the pups really surprised to see how big they really are when they are standing up.

The Hole

A Griffon Mini-Adventure

A Hole! Every puppy needs to have a hole, this is essential to puppydom.  Just kidding... actually, I couldn't believe it when 6 puppies just went up to this hole and piled in disappearing from sight.  I was hoping it wasn't a fresh badger hole, as those badgers can get really cranky.  The pups were just as happy as can be, and when I left, they clambered on out and resumed the hike.

Water

A Griffon Mini-Adventure

Well, one thing for certain, the pups all are okay in water.  It has been pretty cold in the water, but I found a warmer area where the sun had warmed a pool and every one of the pups came through the water without hesitation.

Yay!
